My First Podcast

I attempted my first podcast ever and let me tell you I struggled, creating the recording was pretty simple, it was trying to find a song that would represent my quirkiness and then trying to add that song as an intro found itself to be most difficult when you don’t have any training on how to splice things together. There were a bunch of how to articles and videos on creating a podcast, but when it came to editing the podcast most research ended in just someone trying to sell something. Even the sites that advertised free were just free trials and wanted credit card info to be able to access most of the tools required. After downloading 6 different types of editing software, I finally was able to find something to put forth a crude effort. Listening to the result let me know there is a big learning curve ahead of me. Most likely I need to find an expert that can explain why I do things when I do things.

As to the content of the podcast, I was told to talk about something I was really familiar with and the subject I chose was the CW tv series Supernatural. The Old Movie Old Man brand is dedicated to cinema, but over the years there have been some TV series that I believe have been impactful on one’s life and these series deserve to be talked about at different times, mostly just for background, but also to reference the success and whether it be from writing, acting, production or a combination, especially when there are long playing series, as the crossovers between TV and film are more likely for a series on a long run.
Take a listen and I welcome all the criticism as this is a tool I need to add to the repertoire and get proficient at, especially if I am to diversify my brand.
